Hi all --

We have some friends from England visiting us in part to catch up with
certain land birds and also, to do some NC pelagics. They are both long-time
friends of my husband, Barry, and one is Peter Colston who worked in bird
division at the British Museum for 35 years. Neither of our friends have
seen Whip-poor-will for decades, and then not very well -- so wondered if
anyone who lived somewhat near us knew of any Whips about this year?
Unfortunately we will only have Saturday evening to look, as they will be in
NC until Saturday morning and leave Sunday evening from BWI.

Anyone with suggestions or sites can contact me off-line!

And, thanks for other Ospreyers who have helped us locate birds for our
friends -- they have so far done well with most targets, missing only
Golden-winged Warbler in western MD, due mostly to continuous downpour on
the only day they had to look! However they did see Henslow's and
Grasshopper Sparrows, Alder FC, Upland SP, Ruffed Grouse, Wild Turkey, lots
of other warblers etc.
