Hi everyone,
 Thought I would add my opinion as well, as a very new lister.
 I have no opinion either way on the reply to all vs reply to poster, but it 
seems like reply to poster only will invite less trouble. (Although it 
appers that my mail service CCs the list anyway.)
 I agree with no attachments.
 I also agree with descriptive subject lines, and especially agree with 
listing the county (although I still haven't heard of half the counties you 
guys are from haha).
 As far as what data to report, I like hearing all the "mundane" birds in 
addition to the rare ones. Since I have only been doing this for a few 
months, a lot of the birds that most of you are used to are ones that I have 
never seen. And there have been several times already that I see a bird that 
looks interesting in a list, look it up in books and learn about it, and 
then see it the next time I am out because I know what to look for.
 I wouldn't mind donating some money, and I am sure people would understand 
that donating doesn't mean they are in charge.
 Finally, I don't see any need for political or religious discussions on 
here, so it seems fine to me to cut those off. People can always discuss 
those touchy issues individually.
 I have really enjoyed being on this list and I think it is run very well. 
There are some rules you have that I wish were used on other lists I have 
been on (especially not including the entire message you are replying to).
