I was out at Oregon Ridge yesterday. It was overall a very nice day,
with 61 species. Highlights included several black throated blue
warblers. Flickers were in unusual abundance, with over 10 in the
first 2 hours. The only questionable bird all day was one or two
finches which were hiding in the some pines, and then i watched them
fly into the open. The extent and the color of the red seemed unusual
for house finches. Below are the two best views, if these are
inadequate please respond and i can post alternate views. One
particular bird had red on far down the chest and very little brown
barring.
Thanks
