Hi All,
Sorry for the late post, busy weekend. On Sunday, May 29, 2005, I
had the pleasure of hiking around CCSP. I had not been to this park since
soon after it opened, so it was all new to me, and quite a delight! Here's
the list:

Bald Eagle--1 adult, 1 sub-adult
Tern sp.--too far away to id
Mourning Dove
Pileated Woodpecker
Red-headed Woodpecker---one of these was chasing a Pileated around and
around a tree trunk.
Hairy Woodpecker
Downy Woodpecker
Epidimax flycatcher
Great Crested Flycatcher---swamp was loaded with them
Barn Swallow
Crow sp.
White-breasted Nuthatch
Carolina Wren
Wood Thrush
White-eyed Vireo
Red-eyed Vireo
Ovenbird
Common Yellowthroat
Hooded Warbler
N. Cardinal
Red-winged Blackbird
Common Grackle

These birds were all seen between 3:30 PM and 7:30 PM.
