I was just outside at our West Ocean City place loading up the car for our BBS route in Wicomico County this morning. The Chuck-will's-widows were in full song and I was able to differentiate at least five individuals singing from various points of the compass. Friday, when we arrived in late afternoon, we saw two Black Skimmers loafing on one of the local ponds with the Laughing Gulls, and yesterday, Saturday, we counted 17 Cattle Egret in one location on a vacant lot along Rt. 611. I love this time if year down here!
