Maryland Atlas volunteers did a blockbusting
trip to the Lineboro NE block, in northwest Baltimore
County, on June 1. 63 species were seen. Confirmations
were obtained for 22 species, including WILLOW
FLYCATCHER, WHITE-BREASTED NUTHATCH,
CEDAR WAXWING and BALTIMORE ORIOLE.
9 "probable" and 32 "possible" species were also
found. The last Atlas showed 72 species for this block.
There is no volunteer in charge of this block and this is
the first set of data submitted for it. The blockbusting trip
was thus useful. Baltimore County blockbusting
volunteers are invited to meet for an initial blockbusting
trip to a New Freedom block on Wednesday, June 8,
at the Park & Ride at the Middleton Road exit off of
I-83 at 7:00 a.m. (Contact: Paul Kreiss, 410-367-8194.)
