Hello All,
On Saturday 6/11, I discovered 2 singing Dickcissels on the Hobbs SW atlas block. Unfortunately, neither was close to the road, so both were heard only (but singing persistently).

Directions:
The first one was on Auction Rd about a half mile east of American Corners. From the crossroads, go east past Andrews Auction and a green house. On the south side of the road next to the green house is a corn stubble field with patches of weeds taller than the corn stalks. Possibly 2 birds.

The second was found on Statum Rd where I had on in 2003. The bird was just west of the intersection of Statum and Pinetown Rds. But it was in an alfalfa field behind a farmstead and well off the road, so probably offers no viewing opportunity.

I hope to post a more extensive report of recent atlas sightings as time permits.

Good Birding,
