On two occaisons I have spotted C. Mergansers on the North East River in
front of North East Isles development.

About four weekends ago I spotted seven Common Mergansers swimming along the
river and one male going off by himself. Maybe that is our injured friend.

Last Friday evening June 24th I spotted six Common Mergansers sunnning on a
dead tree across from North East Park in front the North East Isles
development. The dead tree floated in during the last series of flooding in
the fall. It is a an excellent addition to a great birding view from my
girlfriends condo.

Other birds spotted last weekend from the Condo:
Sunday:
Possible Summer Tanager
Great Crested Flycatcher
3 Goldfinches at the feeder
Two Downy Woodpeckers who come and visit the suet feeder. They are becoming
quite tame. Feeding right above us when we are sitting on the deck.

Montgomery Village and frequent North East visiter.

PS Thank you for MDOsprey. It has enhanced my Novice Birdwatching skills.
