This morning at about 11:10 or so, I found a singing
male Dickcissel off River Road.  The location was
close to where Dave Czaplak found two on Sunday
morning.  Going southeast from White's Ferry, the bird
was located between the mailbox for 24000 River Road
and the high tension wires, and so a little further
south than the sign that Dave Cz. mentioned in his
post.  Dave Powell and I had spent the better part of
the 10 to 11 am hour searching for the birds (and
another person was there for a while too), and I heard
the bird some 20 minutes after he had departed.  The
song had almost bell-like notes; I heard a set of
double bell notes for several minutes before I finally
located the singer.  And was it hot.  Not as hot as
Hart Miller, but getting there.
