Ray Kiddy called me last Saturday 7/16 to give me a second hand report of a
Dickcissel near the intersection of Bald Knob Road and Blanks Road (about
as far North in Allegany County as you can go). Apparently an atlas worker
"John Drummond" found this bird and called Ray to tell him about it.

We both looked Saturday afternoon and I also checked on Sunday from 7:00 am
until 8:00 am but did not hear or see any sign. I tried again this morning
arriving at 6:00 am and it was singing very cooperatively. There are also
Henslowe's Sparrows here (which are also quite vocal). I also heard a
Great Horned Owl calling here. I also had a Whip-poor Will calling earlier
that morning at a different spot.

This intersection is ~39.721537, -78.886301 (both roads show up on the
Delorme Atlas). Interested parties would take "New School Road" off of
Mount Savage Road and either turn left on Calla Hill Road (which turns into
Blanks Road) or stay on New School and then turn left on Bald Knob Road.
The birds were maybe 350 meters down Blanks Road (from the intersection) on
the right side of the road and estimated 60 meters off of Blanks road.
