Today's New York Times has an article in the Science section about a
forthcoming challenge to the Ivory-billed Woodpecker rediscovery: "3
Scientists Question Evidence in Sighting of Rare Woodpecker." The paper -- 
accompanied by rebuttals from the Cornell team -- will be appearing in an
unnamed-as-yet journal. Should be very interesting.
