Hi all,
In Ashton at the pond this morning, while out with the dog, I saw what I'm
certain was a 1st yr LEAST FLYCATCHER alternatley perching and flying out for
insects in a medium sized tree in the corner of the property. Moments
earlier I was watching a pair of gnatcatchers, and that's what I thought this bird
was. It was tiny, almost gnatcatcher sized with a tiny bill, and buff
colored wing bars. I looked in a past issue of MD Birdlife, and there was one
banded by Paul Woodward at Hughes Hollow in 1999 on July 27, so it is not a record
early bird, but stilll pretty early Didn't see it this afternoon.
