Hello all. Well its that time of year already. It was a bit humid and stuffy. None the less, I have never been disappointed when I have been down to the point. We started at 7 Am and ended around 10:30 am. Most of the activity was at the beginning and at the end.
Highlights were as follows.
Caspian Tern 1
Double-crested Corm. 1
Bald Eagle 3
Pileated Woodpecker 2
Eastern Kingbird 10+
Eastern Pewee 1
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher 15+
Cedar-waxwing 70+
White-eyed Vireo 3
Red-eyed Vireo-15+
Blue-winged Warbler 5
Northern Parula 2
Black and white Warbler 4
Blackburnian Warbler 1
Chestnut-sided Warbler 2
Yellow Warbler 5
Worm-eating Warbler 1
American Redstart 10+
From what I have noted from last year, the Flycatchers are running a little late. Usually there are high numbers of Pewee's and Kingbirds packed in down there, but not the case this weekend. Maybe after this cold from hits us.
