Birds at the Rt. 50 borrow pit thinned out dramatically last night. We
didn't find the Wilson's Phalarope this morning.

At the Hurlock W.W,T.P. we talked to a couple of very courteous town
employees who said they were trying to cut back temporarily on use of
the facility because of insurance liability with the new road
construction. They asked us to pass the word to birders to call the
Town Office at 410- 943-4181 ext.6200 before they come to see if
access is ok that day. On weekends, I guess just give it a try since
Bill Hubick et al seemed to have had no trouble. By the way, their
Buff-breasted Sandpiper has been joined by two others.
