A brief stop into Williams Road Pond this afternoon around 4:45 to 5pm did eventually turn up the Bairds Sandpiper. He is getting good at camouflaging in with the mud color that is here. He is the most active piper in the pond. He rarely will sit still. I have taken about 40 photos so far and I don't think one has really turned out spectacular.
Anyway, there was a White-rumped Sandpiper at the front of the pond this evening and actually was with in a few feet of the Bairds.
The birds have been very jumpy. I don't seem to scare them but something else has been. I have seen the Coopers Hawk a few times over the past week and that could be what has them on edge. Many birds were taking off and heading South in the time that I was there and didn't look like they were coming back.
Also present was, one Glossy Ibis, both Yellowlegs, many Least Sandpipers, 2 Semi's, 1 Western, and Killdeer.
