Based on Rick Sussman's earlier report of mudflats forming at Browns Bridge I decided to try it this morning. Rocky Gorge is down significantly and a large mudflat has formed on the Howard County side at Browns Bridge. Birds there were:

Canada Goose 46
Wood Duck 2
Mallard 8
Great Blue Heron 1
Green Heron 2
Killdeer 39
Solitary Sandpiper 3
Semipalmated Sandpiper 1
Least Sandpiper 28
Pectoral Sandpiper 1

I then moved up to Triadelphia at the Pigtail boat launch. This lake has lowered enough to produce a small mudflat there occupied by 4 Killdeer and 1 Least Sandpiper. In the distance I could see two white terns flying down the main body of the lake. I drove around to Brighton Dam where I could see 4 Forster's Terns, two flying around and two sitting on channel markers. I then drove to the Greenbridge boat launch for a closer look and could see that both breeding plumage and immature birds were present.
