Hi All:

We were out on the Susquehanna for a kayak this evening, from Port
Deposit. We stopped at some rocks in the river for a rest and a swim
and displaced an adult and juvenile Caspian Tern. It was still making
the begging noises. As we swam, dozens of terns flew by, presumably
beginning to migrate. ( Did not have my glasses on and could not ID! )
I would say at least 4 dz made their way past. They were smallish,
Forsters size. I had never seen such a concentration.
Unfortunately, no White Pelican flew past!
