A Connecticut Warbler was present this morning about 10:10 at Middle
Patuxent Wildlife Area, Columbia, MD. It was off the Trotter Rd. parking
lot. Down the trail, then at the open area, take the trail to the left.
It was seen before the outdoor theater area, in some tear-thumb on the
left.

It was a large warbler, with rich, gray head, prominent white eye-ring, and
bright yellow breast. The yellow did not extend up the throat. It was
roughl 3 foot above the ground in dense vegetation, and promptly disappeared
before I even thought to get the camera out.

Occasional pockets of activity, with long dry spells yielded these other
interesting species:

Yellow-billed Cuckoo - 1
Canada Warbler - 2
Magnolia Warbler - 10
Bay-breasted Warbler - 1
Chestnut-sided Warbler - 3
Am. Redstart - 1
Wilson's Warbler - 1
Hooded Warlber -1
Ovenbird -1 (clearly seen!!!!)
Rose-breasted Grosbeak - 1

Shorebird action at Brown's Bridge as of about 11:00 was pretty routine

Green Heron - 3
Killdeer - 24
Semi Plover - 1
Least SP - 25
Solitary SP - 1
Pectoral SP - 1
