DC weekend summary

I was able to get out a couple of times this weekend for some DC birding.
Here's a summary:

Friday, 9/2 - Kenilworth Park
c.100 Killdeer
1 Pectoral Sandpiper
1 Semipalmated Sandpiper
c.6 Least Sandpipers
c.6 peep, sp.

Saturday, 9/3 - Rock Creek Park
Led a trip to RCP for ANS, and we had a great morning.  Nine participants,
great weather, and a wave of migrants came right to us as we gathered in the
Nature Center Parking Lot.  We found 39 species, here are some highlights
(numbers are best estimate):
10 Common Nighthawks, migrating north at 7 am.
3 Ruby-throated Hummingbirds
3 E. Wood-pewees
2 Gr. Crested Flycatchers
2 Veery
4 Wood Thrush
8 Red-eyed Vireo
3 Chestnut-sided Warbler
6 Magnolia Warbler
1 Black-throated Blue Warbler (fem.)
2 Blackburnian Warbler
2 American Redstart
1 Worm-eating Warbler
1 Ovenbird
1 Wilson's Warbler (maint. yard)
2 Canada Warbler (1 literally at our feet)
8 Baltimore Oriole

Monday, 9/5 - Kenilworth Park & Aquatic Gardens (w/John Hubbell)
1 Cooper's Hawk
1 Red-shouldered Hawk
1 Amer. Kestrel
c.50 Killdeer
6 Lesser Yellowlegs
1 Greater Yellowlegs
2 E. Kingbirds
1 Cliff Swallow
1 Gray-cheeked Thrush
3 Warbling Vireo
2 Red-eyed Vireo
1 No. Parula
1 Chestnut-sided W.
1 Magnolia W.
1 Amer. Redstart
2 No. Waterthrush
2 Common Yellowthroat
? Indigo Bunting  - lots, clearly in the double digits, but hard to get a
number (20?).  Also double digits of Catbirds, lots moving through.
1 Baltimore Oriole
