I went to the Patton Turf Farm yesterday--no luck on the Buff-breasted, though it may well have been there (since the Baltimore group had it on Sunday). The heat shimmer was terrible, and if the bird was there, it wasn't close enough to the road to see. The American Golden-Plover is easier to pick out, and also was reasonably close to the road at one point. On the way there, also checked out the Hughes Road polo fields, which contained no shorebirds except Killdeer--but did feature a Northern Harrier.

Ft. Bayard Park was dead this morning (after a couple of fairly good days), but after a year of birding there I did finally have my first-ever Rock Pigeon sighting for the park today. Exciting stuff.
