On Wednesday, September 21st, Chan Robbins will present a talk entitled, “
What Have I Learned from 100,000 Hours of Backyard Banding?” For almost 60
years, Chan has worked at the Patuxent Wildlife Research Center, where he
initiated now-widespread bird-censusing programs. During the past 30 years
he has observed 200 species of bird in his yard in Laurel, and has banded
about 100 of them.
The meeting will be held at the Potomac Presbyterian Church, 10301 River
Road in Potomac, Md. All are welcome, members and non-members alike. Bring
a friend! Light refreshments will be served at 7:30 p.m. Meeting begins
