I was at the Silver Spring Whole Foods (downtown Silver Spring off Wayne 
Ave., Georgia Ave., etc.) night before last, came out about 8:15 pm, and 
saw at once that the nighthawks were still around, even more than the first 
time I noticed them  over a week ago.   I think it was about the same time 
as someone else saw them and did post about them then.  Wish I'd had time 
to do what he did, and run up to the top of the parking garage with 
binoculars for a better look.  Actually, up there, I don't think you'd need 
the bins--they'd be right in front of you.  What I'd really like is to get 
up into that round tower at the top of the Courtyard Marriott that the 
birds are circling and look from there.  

Anyway, even with arms full of groceries, from the parking lot, they were 
pretty spectacular--I'm guessing there were more than two dozen, maybe way 
more.  All I could see was the ones swooping near the building, and 
therefore lit up against the night sky, but there seemed to be others above 
that.  Anybody else been to see them?
