This Saturday, Oct 1, the Cecil Bird Club is sponsoring a
co-led trip to the Woodlawn Wildlife Area. This 1/2 day trip
will start from the Pavillion at 8 a.m.

Here are the directions from Elkton:
213 to 273 turn left at the light toward Rising Sun
Go through Rising Sun to the circle and go 3/4 around
to pick up 276
Stay on 276 until you come to the SECOND Firetower
Road on your right, approximately 6+ miles turn right
Stay on Firetower Road approximately 3 miles, you will
pass the Cecil Co. Recylcling Center/Transfer Station
on your left
Go only about 2 tenths of a mile and on your left you
will see the sign for NEW BEGINNINGS: WOODLAWN
WILDLIFE AREA sign
this is the entrance to the parking area.
Walk straight ahead to the pavillion. There are 4
picnic tables in the pavillon, no water is available
for drinking, however. There are paths that take you
through the woods and around the meadow. It is
primitive, so good boots are in order and watch out
for the poison ivy!
