Richard, welcome to Maryland.  I suggest you browse through the
Maryland Ornithological Society (MOS)website at www.mdbirds.org for
information on locales, chapters (in your case, the Baltimore
Chapter), and other information regarding birding in Maryland.  

I think Maryland should have a few birds to offer, especially as you
haven't seen a titmouse or a cardinal in the past few years.

What you really need is a copy of the Yellow Book (described on the
MOS web site).  I'm not sure if MOS is still selling these to the
public but if you send me your snail mail address, I'll send you a
copy gratis (I seem to have a lot of them around, never could say no
to a good deal!).
