I ventured down to Assateague for my day off hoping to reap the benefits of
the cold front that passed yesterday. I was a little disappointed with the
results, but it was certainly a much better day than many others I have spent
on the island. The nocturnal migration was nearly non-existent (2 Great Blue
Herons, 3 Swainson's Thrush, 1 Scarlet Tanager) and the morning flight was
almost solely warblers. Below I have listed all presumed migrants and other
notables for each location.
