Some teachers at my school in downtown Bethesda spotted a hawk on the
storage shed clutching a squirrel. Someone took a digital picture but it's
very gray and a little difficult to tell what the hawk is. It is facing
the photographer with its head turned sideways. Very white breast, white
legs and dark streaks on the flanks that are wide apart. It's hard to see
any distinguishing marks on the face. Its wings are outspread and only
show shadows. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
