Hi All,

Nancy and I took a look at Great Oak Pond around noon today. The Canada Goose flock has risen to ca. 4000, virtually covering the pond. Today's pleasant surprise was a late adult basic-plumaged BLACK TERN coursing over the pond and, oddly enough, sitting on the pond like a swimming gull. Also still present were at least three STILT SANDPIPERS, Lesser Yellowlegs, Ruddy Ducks, Northern Shovelers, pintail, Green-winged Teal, and there was one white-morph Snow Goose with the abundant Canadas.

Good Birding,

Walter Ellison
