Dear All
Looks there might be a few birds around today as there was a notable influx
of new birds around the house this morning (Van Ness, NW DC). In five
minutes sipping tea I saw 2-3 Yellow-rumps in the trees around the garden
(the first of the autumn from the house) and three other warblers flying
over plus various other things going 'chip' that remained unseen. I hope
someone is in the Maintenance Yard this morning.
The weather looks interesting for the next few days with a combination of a
bunch of rain coming in from the south (the remnants of TS Tammy)and a weak
cold front coming through from the west. It looks like we're set for some
serious rain in DC (at last) and a flip from southerlies to northlies
sometime over the weekend. That should at least stir things up a bit.
Cheers
Gary
