There was a very cooperative Gray Kingbird near the end of George's
Island Landing Rd this afternoon. Viewed for 40 min. in scope and
binoculars. It worked it's way in forays from the wires at the marsh,
just before the house on the turn heading in, to the wires near the
landing.

We easily noted the relevant field marks (bill, wash on underparts,
mask extending around to neck overall gray color etc.) and will
submit the full details to the Records Committee. The resident
mockingbirds were not harrasing the bird while we were there 1:10 to 2
pm.

This seems to be a second county record (if approved) the first being
30 years ago. I remembered to charge the batterys but left the camera
at home.
