The first-year Gray Kingbird was at the last bend in the road, about less 
than 1/4 mile from the boat landing at the end of the road. The weather has 
been scattered showers all day long. The bird was down for about the first 
hour after sunrise. Then from the parking area, Hans Holbrook spotted it on 
the wires at the bend in the road. It stayed up for a very short period and 
then disappeared out of sight. About 30 minutes later, it popped up and 
stayed on the wires for about another 20-30 minutes. Then, I watched it 
take an insect and disappear into the trees, close by, on the south side of 
the road (still at the bend).
