Mike Donovan - "The Good and the Bad of the Anacostia
Tributaries"

PG County naturalist Mike Donovan, who has led boat
trips along the Anacostia River for many years,
presents his slides on one of the major greenway and
wildlife networks in the Washington area. He will
highlight beautiful spots and wildlife habitats while
also pointing out areas where additional cleanup or
restoration is still necessary. The Anacostia
Tributaries network, which includes Paint Branch,
Indian Creek, Northeast Branch, Northwest Branch,
Sligo Creek, and the Anacostia River, contains many of
the birding hotspots of Prince George’s County, such
as Bladensburg Waterfront Park and Lake Artemesia.
Join us to see both the beauty and challenges of this
nearby and accessible urban greenway.

*****

The program is, as always, free and open to the
public. Light refreshments will be served.

See our website for more information.
