I should have added, before I forwarded Ed's message ... when I was at the
"regular spot" yesterday afternoon (Mon 10/31), probably around 2:30 to
3ish, I was scanning with the Questar across and slightly up river, very
close to the VA shore, and saw briefly what appeared to be a swimming
smaller cormorant with a thinner bill. It quickly dove and we never
relocated it, so I mentally dimissed it. This is consistent with Ed's
report, however.
