Hello all.
The program offered by Google called "Google Earth" is an excellent
resource for researching birding locations. Through satellite photography,
one can search for and recieve very close views of practically any locale
in the USA and much of the world.
I'm using it to study, more in depth, my atlas blocks as well as birding
spots that I've heard about but haven't yet visited. Also, its a good way
to get a sense of what kind of habitat really surrounds one's atlas block
or birding spot. I still use my De Lorme and ADC maps, but I must say that
this resource has helped a great deal as well, as the actual photography
really brings the areas to life.
Check it out.
Best to all,
Matt Grey
