Hi all,

After missed the ride at I-70/Rt 32 by 10 minutes
for Bob's trip to Eastern Neck yesterday, decided to
hang out at Cromwell for a while. Ran into Bill Hubick
there and both of us went on birding to Loch Raven and
back and decide to check out the pines tree where he
heard 1 Black-capped earlier.
At the small row of pine trees covered with vines,
he heard the Black-capped again. After he doing some
pishing, the sound attracts 5 Carolina Wrens and 4-8
Black-capped, some in good view.
Later while doing hawkwatching with Jim Meyers, we
decide to do a quick look at Black-capped. It was not
found at same area as earlier, but farther west across
stream into big tract of pine trees up on the hill
borders housing development. We found two Black-capped
among many dozens Red-breasted Nuthatches,
White-breasted Nuthatches, Downy Woodpecker, Brown
Creeper, Golden-crowned Kinglet...... It's a good
thing I miss the carpool at I-70/Rt 32. It is a great
day to be out birding, and busy too with loads of
passerines everywhere.
