I just got off the phone with Rob Hilton at Monkton. The flycatcher was
seen this morning just a little north of the large building where it was
yesterday, and on the side of the trail away from the stream. Rob said there were
five or six people there this morning and that they had not seen the bird for
about 2 1/2 hours until Rob and Paul Pisano got there, whereupon the bird showed
up. It could be that the cold kept insect activity to nil until the sun
heated things up. I can't comment on the effects of the arrival of Rob and Paul
on the bird's activities.
