The Hammond's Flycatcher that has been frequenting the NCR trail
near Monkton was briefly seen this morning at 09:18 by Wayne Irvin
of North Carolina, making it his 700th life bird! He saw it briefly
hover by the prominent green vine twining around some bare tree
trunks, and pluck two berries before disappearing. I never got
on the bird, and no one else was present at the time.

The bird did not reappear by the time I had to depart at 1:30.
At least 9 othere birders, including one who'd come all the way
from New Jersey, appeared between 09:00 and 1:30, and to my knowledge,
none saw or heard the bird.

Otherwise, usual suspects present, plus a fly over adult Bald
Eagle.
