Rt 12 near Mt. Olive Church Road {DeLorme - several miles from Salisbury
toward Snow Hill - DeLorme page 34, D, 2 - Note DeLorme map doesn't contain
"Church" - a very large flock of Blackbirds {greater than 5000} was in a field on
the West or left side of the road - very skittish - we almost immediately -
spotted the Yellow-headed {male} in flight - pale yellow {perhaps lighting}
with white primary coverts - larger than the Red-wings it was with {flock
Red-winged,  Grackle, and Brown-headed Cowbird}  - I was unable to get a picture!!
- the flock broke up - we said for perhaps another hour - the birds were move
to different nearby areas - RECOMMENDATION - Check Rt 12 1/2 mile in both
directions from Mt. Olive Church Road and some of side road in the area -
birds were on lawns in housing areas, a swampy area near a farm field - an open
field, and in trees! GOOD LUCK! Observers: Mike Welch, Gary Smyle
