(In the cove by the boat docks – the first right turn when you enter the
park, not the docks by the nature center)

4 Pied-billed Grebe
50+ American Coot
15+ Bufflehead
2 Ring-necked Ducks
4 Mallard
1 Eastern Phoebe (my first wintertime phoebe ever)
1 Pileated Woodpecker
1 Belted Kingfisher
1 Great Blue Heron
1 Yellow-rumped Warbler (Myrtle)
3 American Goldfinches
1 Carolina Chickadee
4 American Crow

Also had a nice encounter with a sharp-shinned hawk – landed not more than
10-15 feet from me in a small tree, and got some beautiful looks before
he/she flew off; wish I’d had my camera.

On Sunday 12/4 from the bridge on Clarksburg Rd.: 50+ Ruddy Ducks, 3
Canvasback, 1 Ring-necked Duck, 25+ Bufflehead
