Folks

Hanging around the house watching birds and organizing, I have so far heard two Hermit Thrushes, seen two Purple Finches (one brownie, one adult male), seen 32 Tundra Swans fly over, seen two Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers, and am still waiting for the male Sharp-shinned Hawk seen yesterday to return.

Also, lots of Robins flying over as well as one Common Grackle. The regular suspects are also present White-breasted Nuthatch, Carolina Chickadees, Tufted Titmouse, Hairy, Downy Woodpecker, two Northern Flickers, Dark-eyed Junco,a couple White-throated Sparrows, and a handful of American Goldfinch. The House Finch flock exceeds 60 individuals as of today. American Crows are feeding on the beef fat in the drive and one Turkey Vulture as well.

Waiting for Ralph to return.
