Hi --

We (with Greg, our Aussie visitor) were at the Rt 309 pond yesterday (Queen Anne's Co.) scanning for Cackling Geese among hundreds of Canadas. It was *cold and windy!* We did see one candidate Cackler but it disappeared too quickly behind a sheltering ponit of land to confirm. Luckily we caught up with 4 Cackling (Ricahrdson's) Geese later in Delaware, as these were on of his targets.

There was no sign of the Long-tailed Duck but the field in front of the pond had at least 6 Snow Buntings on it, up and flying about in the wind.
