Went up to Patton Turf Farm to see Lapland Longspurs for myself. Was
able to locate 2 (using scope) among the many Horned Larks. Birds were
in same field as reported by Jim Green, about 150 yds in from the road
feeding in the stubble. A good landmark would be the "topped off" white
silo on the hill.

Jim Green emailed me this afternoon to report that he found 2 LAPLAND
LONGSPURS among about 150 Horned Larks at the Patton Turf Farm. The
longspurs and larks were in the soybean stubble on the opposite side of
the road from the Patton Turf Farm sign for entrance #4. |
