Cape May had a Snowy at Stone Harbor on Friday, which had also been seen in
Avalon a few days before. It was not seen on Saturday. According to Les,
the Dorchester bird was located 250pm and seen at least until 350pm. Gene,
when did you see the Baltimore bird? I am trying to determine whether these
may be the same bird, since Paul Lehman says it is a very bad year for
Snowies. Naturally we are delighted that our favorite species chose to make
an appearance in Dorchester County, our new home in 2006!

We first encountered the bird at 2:50
p.m. and watched it for about 20 minutes.

We continued another 6.6
miles to reach the boat dock at Elliott Island, then returned, reaching the
bird at 3:50. It was still on the same pole.
