Hello all.

I surveyed my usual haunts in northern Anne Arundel County today with good 
results. The waterfowl were great, but the sparrows at Weinberg park made 
the day for me.

Highlights:

Venice on the Bay (Pond area)

G. Blue Heron: 2
C. Goose: 18 on the ice and 80 floyver in 2 flocks
Mallard: 19
H. Merganser: 3
GBB Gull: 1
C. Hawk: 1 

Venice Beach:

C. Loon: 1  Quite close to shore
DC Cormorant: 1
C. Goose: c. 120 flyover in 3 flocks
M. Swan: 1
Mallard: 6
G. Scaup: 1  Near the shore
L. Scaup: c. 100 Off of Ft. Smallwood
Bufflehead: 2
GBB Gull: 2

Weinberg Park:

C. Goose: c. 60 flyover in 3 flocks
LT DUCK: 2  Near white Rocks
Mallard: 12
H. Merganser: 3  In the half thawed pond
RT Hawk: 1
RH WOODPECKER: 1 Juvenile, in the same area he/she was last week
RB and D. Woodpeckers: several
YB Sapsucker: 1
