At least two female Red-breasted Mergansers were present with the 1,000+
Common Mergansers at Brighton Dam, Triadelphia Reservoir, Howard/Montgomery
Counties yesterday afternoon.  In addition, at least six Bald Eagles made
appearances, 1-2 Great Black-backed Gulls, uncounted Herring and Ring-billed
Gulls (they moved around too much).

Several Howard Countians continued out to the dam after the New Year's
Day Trip broke for lunch.  The RB Mergs were a tasty treat, making up
for a lack of lunch stop!
