First birds of 2006 were a PAIR of Red-breasted Nuthatches.  I had noted a single bird a couple of weeks ago, but had never documented a second until this morning when they took turns sampling sunflower seeds in sight of each other.

My last yard bird of 2005 was a Golden-crowned Kinglet feeding on ??? in a large evergreen.
