I spent the beautiful morning pruning the fruit trees and listening to the
birds. The warmer weather had at least one Cardinal breaking into
song and the Carolina Wrens were going non-stop and they appeared louder
than usual. I also saw an immature bald eagle soaring overhead.

While taking a walk on the road, I spied a small one legged grasshopper
sitting on the asphalt, probably trying to absorb the extra heat. No
butterflies about, but a few dandelions are in bloom. Ahhh, a few hints
of spring.

In response to an earlier posting about a pine warbler at a suet feeder,
I, too, have a female pine warbler that is a visitor to the suet.
