I birded down by the Tidal Basin and in Constitution Gardens this
afternoon. The Tidal Basin held very few birds. There was a large flock
of robins in the holly trees near the FDR memorial; these were
accompanied by some Cedar Waxwings. In the Potomac, there was a small
group of Lesser Scaup about halfway down from the Tidal Basin to the
Arlington Memorial Bridge. Constitution Gardens had a single American
Coot and a flock of Buffleheads in addition to the large group of Canada
Geese.

Good birding,

John Beetham
