The Harlequin Duck, already noted by Les, was briefly glimpsed shortly
after sunset, at the end of the pier, among some Greater Scaup. So
our friend does not discriminate!!!

The Canvasback rafts at Oakley Street and elsewhere were impressive.
And they had a few scaup, Tundra Swans, and Canada Geese mixed in.
Surf Scoters were abundant, but I only saw two Long-tailed Ducks.

Alas, I peaked early, as I came up dry on the Am. White Pelicans at
Blackwater. I made three circuits of the loop, one in late morning,
and two in mid-afternoon, no sign. To further add to the frustration,
four separate sightings of Golden Eagle were logged at the Visitor
Center, but none by me.

Not a Rough-legged Hawk to be seen on Elliot Island Rd.

A small consolation was seeing 13 Bald Eagles at once.
