Hi All,

The Kent County Bird Club will be sponsoring a trip down to the Atlantic Coast of Maryland (with a likely sidetrip north to DE) on Saturday the 21st of January. We will meet folks from Kent County and northward at the usual spot in the Dollar General parking lot (the store with the cupola) betwixt the Spring St. traffic light on MD-213 and Philosopher's Terrace at 8:00 AM. This will be an all-day trip so folks should bring some lunch and snacks and layered warm clothing. Even on warm winter days a sea breeze can chill you through.

We will be looking for winter specialties including loons, grebes, Purple Sandpiper, Brant, sea ducks, other waterfowl, gulls, and gannets. Recent reports from the region have included Eurasian Wigeon, Common Eider, and Harlequin Duck (in DE). Please give us a call if you want to meet us in Ocean City or along the way.

Good Birding,

Walter Ellison
