While feeding an assortment of Black Vultures, Turkey Vultures and Crows in his back yard
Sunday, Gene Schwartz was visited by an adult Bald Eagle which helped itself to the chicken scraps
Gene provided. Located off Seminary Ave. near Falls Rd. in Baltimore County, Gene has been
feeding the Vultures regularly. This is the first time he has reported seeing an Eagle join in the
meal. He said quite a commotion was heard before the Vultures and Crows scattered as the Bald
Eagle approached and took a chicken morsel, which it then ate in a nearby Tulip Poplar tree.

Gene is a regular at the Cromwell Valley Park HawkWatch and enjoys photographing the large
visitors to his back yard. I'll have to ask him how his neighbors feel about it!!!!
